Well If you live here or visit it's just like most tourist towns but this one's extra special it don't matter if you have a car if you stay on carolina beach also known as pleasure island you can just about walk any where,to the beach or to the lake to watch a outside movie.On thursday nights they have fireworks like its 4th of july all over again.But the best part is the north end of carolina beach they have a place where you can drive on the beach,camp out,and I think you can still have your pets out there to.But you better have an awesome 4 wheel drive,because that sand is deep but I haven't been out there in about 2yrs now.Oh and you can have camp fire's which I think that the only place this year that you can.Well thats just one spot I will tell you about the awesome water park on my next blog.And about downtown and the trolley horse powered with real horses.Well if your coming from tennessee just follow I-40 east till it almost dead ends. Well this is Island ...

One thing great about living here in wilmington,northcarolina is you may run into a celebrity,they do alot of filming here from major motion pictures to series like you would see on hbo example east bound and down is being filmed as I type this blog.I have done an extra before for onetreehill.One of the biggest crew and extra's and lighting is finscannon and associates.they are very proffessional the set up everything for the director such as location,lighting,wardrobe,hair cuts and enerything you would need to make a movie.I wish they would give me a call back I like being around the set and doing extras work.well this is Island Ike saying be safe and honest and that should get you through your day.

You just have to come here and you would never want to go home.When I first came to wilmington,nc I never wanted to leave its like myrtle beach without all the teenagers.Knot that its knot family orintated.Its more of everything for everybody theres pleaser island which is carolina beach,and theres wrightsville beach that is more richer upper class.Then downtown is like a old town you would see in a small town.also they make movies here like crazy hbo,screengem,studios,movies like domestic disturbance with john trolvolta and vince vaughn you have to come see for you self. I my self done a couple extra sceens for onetreehill.

 I think this is one of the best places to vacation or visit and live there is so much to do from downtown to the beaches you can look up carolinabeach and wrightsvillesbeach and check the surf in the morning. Plus see if and when the tide comes in then there are more festivals than you ever seen we have a wing fling downtown this year right off the cape fear river.Plus with all the filming going on there starting to call this place wilmywood and I  have seen my share. Plus normally the weather in the winter is about 60 to 70 degrees but the last to years have been record cold so that means thay the next one's will be warm. All you have to do is follow I 40 east and once you dead end at exit 420 that means it's time to party.so come as you are .this is Island Ike maybe Ill be seeing ya.

If your looking to travel or go on vacation this is the place to be,most people don't know that northcarolina borders the atlantic ocean and they also film most movies you have seen at theaters and great hotels and golf. Almost everywhere you go you are on and Island or a sound.This is a wonderful place to visit or live. I came here to visit in 2003 and never left.
